LucasArts is going to decide what platforms any and all Star Wars games will be on.
That means it will most likely be a 100% multi-platform game.
The only reason the 1st 2 KOTOR games were not on the PS2 is because it did not have Hard Drive.
Agreed. There have been enough games to show that games that are not designed to be PS3 exclusive from day one don't really push the performance envelop into the next generation.
In order to make a game that truly advances the performance into the next-gen (which really is the current gen now) you need 1) a very good programming team and 2) for that team to know that the game will never be on another platform. When you get both of those things then the team doesn't have to ...
Well that 360 controller doesn't work to well with those fighters. Specifically, Virtua Fighter 5 and Soul Calibur II (SCIV isn't available yet). The X360 D-pad is just far too imprecise for my tastes.
Biglee said, ".....i'd say splinter cell is much better stealth game than mgs,....."
I have to take time out to make a special reply just to say that I disagree with perfect disagreement.
Let me be clear....Metal Gear is a better game than Splinter Cell, as a stealth game and by every other measurement that I can think of. My disagreement with Biglee, or anyone else, suggesting otherwise can not be more absolute.
That is all.
It is going to diminish the quality of the game a great deal. Multi-platform games have been quite a bit less impressive than the best exclusives (especially the PS3's best exclusives) this gen.
Sony owns Killzone and the studio that makes it.
Hmmmm......Let's see. We have....
"We aimed to make a character that is the 'king' of an ultra ancient civilization and a character that obviously proves the setting of being the strongest character ever in SC series."
And we have.......
"His right hand glows red and his left hand glows blue because he holds the Soul Edge in his right and the Soul Calibur in his left. Also he has ten kinds of weapons built in his body and shows a variety...
Bubbles for you.
So I want to see him cash it in at the box office. However, I don't expect the movie to be as good as either of the games for several reasons.
1. There is no girl. In big time box office movie there has to be a leading lady. Snake doesn't have one. That's a problem when you get to the silver screen.
2. There is no way you can tell the story of Metal Gear Solid or even a single Metal Gear Solid game in 3 movies, let alone one. There is just too much vital mater...
can not possibly be as good as a Metal Gear Solid Game.
What sites offer the firmware upgrades?
I have a couple of ideas on this subject....
1. If this passes in Europe it will affect the politics in the US. I think it will eventually lose in the US, as we have historically placed more emphasis on individual freedom than in any place in the world. Although, recently we seem to be favoring corporate power. Nevertheless, Europe and the US are close cousins. They tend to share more ideas than not.
2. This reeks of privacy violations. How are they going to...
"Not making a HDD standard when they had it in the first XBox one of the most stupid moves ever in gaming. Why go backwards?"
Second only to the Xbox 1 not being able to play a DVD right out of the box. That was amazingly stupid.
Until I actually hear this from a more credible source than a blog post, I have to withhold my belief on this matter. Soul Calibur is a popular game. If it requires a hard drive it would indeed fracture the X360 base, although I believe the split would be something like 90% - 10% with the 90 already having hard drives. Still, to fragment their base like that is a major deal, and a problem for Microsoft, therefore I can't accept this on the word of a blog post. I need more.
Sniper Rifles break the game-play of any game in which they appear.
The very theory behind a sniper rifle is......I threaten you with death while you can't threaten me at all....That is extremely low risk and very high reward....That results in broken the game play. That is why nobody runs past sniper rifles; even if you can't use it, you take it to a teammate who can. That is why people who snipe get lots of kills; the weapon is broken.
In a sense sniping is co...
What you said is exactly the point. You said.....
"I LOVE sniping someone in any game since it makes them get mad and feel VULNERABLE from any angle with them having no clue to where it came from."
They don't just FEEL vulnerable, they ARE vulnerable, while at the same time you, or any other sniper, it perfectly safe and out of range.
From Heavenly Sword
It looks like the Soul Calibur Fighters are in over their head. These guest characters will sell extra copies, but they violently clash with their mythos; albeit, nobody really cares about the Soul Calibur mythos.
Really, what is any Soul fighter going to do with Yoda?
Which one of them is going to stop Darth Vader?
And now they add Kratos, KRATOS, really!?? What idiot choses to fight Kratos? By the way, Kratos doe...
I don't care whether you love or hate the X360 or PS3. I care nothing for the fanboy/system wars, but do not disrespect Master Yoda.
As are 3 dozen programmer who used to work for Team Ninja. Sony should get them to make the next Heavenly Sword. They obviously know how to make that type of game. Just think about it. (Ninja Gaiden Sigma gameplay mechanics) + (Heavenly Sword Story) = (3 million sold and 9.5 on metacritic.)
This will be up to LucasArts to decide what platform(s) it goes to. Star Wars is their baby.
But if it is a 360 exclusive single-player RPG then they will sell at least on 360 to me on the day of its release. The first KOTOR is the reason I bought an Xbox.
